We've just held our first ever National Guardians of the City Tournament, and a whopping 64 teams from secondary schools around the country came for it. We all had a blast, and we're already looking forward to next year's competition! READ MORE ABOUT IT HERE!
The first ever inter-school Guardians of the City Tournament was held on 31st May 2017 at the National Cadet Corps Headquarters. 36 secondary schools throughout Singapore sent teams to compete.
After an entire day of competition, the NCC (Air) team from ACS (International) emerged as the champions.
The combined team from Punggol Sec/Compassvale Sec finished second, and the boys from Victoria School were third.
The winners received prizes from Nexus and NCC, as well as limited edition plastic cards from Falling Piano Games:
It was an exciting and fun day for the 300+ students who came, and special thanks goes out to the team from Nexus and NCC, who made everything possible and ran the event smoothly the whole day.
This tournament has whet our appetites for something even bigger, and we look forward to the National inter-school Guardians of the City Tournament taking place in November 2017, open to students from all schools. Stay tuned for more information!

The first official expansion to Guardians of the City has arrived! Just in time for our first ever inter-school competition, to be held at the National Cadet Corps HQ on 31st May!
GOTC Vol.2 brings the game to a new level - players are to build their own Action card and Crisis card decks. To facilitate this, three new categories of cards are introduced in Vol.2, starting with enhanced abilities in the Galvanised People class:
A completely new class of Crisis cards brings the Terrorists to a different level of menace:
And finally, to deal with these new Subversives, there's also a new class of Action card:

Guardians of the City Vol.2, the latest version of GOTC, will be launched on 31st May 2017, at the National Cadet Corps GOTC Competition at NCC HQ. GOTC V2 will feature new cards, rule tweaks, and a whole new deck-building mechanic. Stay tuned!
Guardians of the City is a Total Defence (TD) strategy card game to help youths have a deeper understanding of TD and the complexity of terror threats, and to show them how we can all play a part to keep Singapore safe and secure. It also shows how society can come together to better prepare for crises, respond to them, and recover from them. All National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) and National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC) units will receive sets of the card game as unit resource by 10 February 2017. Every NCC cadet will also receive a personal set at the same time. All other Uniformed Group (UG) students will get their personal sets by May 2017. The following resources accompany the game: 1.
